With the rising sea levels, it should be a surprise to no one that floods are becoming a more and more common occurrence nowadays. Whether they result from extended rainfall, overflowing rivers, landslides, or storms, they are fast becoming a daily item in the news service nowadays. With the floods come the large amounts of water-based damages that happened to the houses and other properties that have the bad luck of being in its path.

Naturally, after the flood has ebbed, restoration and reparation of the damages it causes need to take place. Many buildings would be damaged by the water that had part of them submerged for days in some cases, and the damage caused are often lasting ones, especially so for buildings made of wood. It is usually the task of repair companies to handle the reparation and flood damage cleanup, but the task is often easier said than done.

For one, any electronic item caught inside the flood can technically be considered scrap – since very few modern electronic appliances react favorably to an extended encounter with flood waters – and furniture are often unsalvageable as well. At times, even the buildings themselves might be rendered unusable and must be torn down depending on the level of damage.
